By supporting Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity (GOSH Charity) this Christmas, you’ll be helping fund the vital resources and support GOSH needs to help get children back home to their families.
You’ll also be helping bring Christmas to the hospital for those children whose treatment needs to continue overthe festive season.
Children like Ethan (pictured above) who at just nine months old, spent his first Christmas in hospital attached to a Ventricular Assist Device (VAD), or Berlin Heart, which kept him alive.
In summer 2020 Ethan underwent a heart transplant. The surgery was a success, and he was able to go home in time for Christmas in 2020. “This Christmas we are most looking forward to being home,” says Ethan’s mum Roselelia.
Please make a donation to help us give extraordinary care to more children like Ethan. Thank you.
Your donation could help towards...
- Child and family support services such as the Play team, who make the wards feel festive as they help children prepare for treatments; or parent accommodation close to the hospital so parents can stay close by their children over Christmas.
- New child-focused environments that help children feel safe and calm during their appointments, treatments and recovery.
- State-of-the-art medical technology and pioneering research into kinder treatments and cures for rare and complex conditions, all working towards getting children home to their families.
