Fundraising round up – Summer 2016

Over the last few months our Corporate Partners having been pulling out all the stops to raise vital funds for the charity. Have a look at our photo gallery to see some of our superstar supporters in action.

Whitbread Skydive Day

On Saturday 2 July, Whitbread Hotels and Restaurants held their first ever Skydive Day in Oxfordshire. 45 employees signed up to skydive on the day, and collectively they raised an incredible £30,000 through sponsorship. A big thank you to everyone who took the plunge! Take a read of skydiver Sarah’s experience of the day.

Uni-ball

We are excited to be partnering with uni-ball, the first part of this sees the release of co-branded packs of their bestselling uni-ball eye pen. For each of these branded two or three packs sold the charity will receive 20p with a pledge to donate a minimum of £50,000. These will be available in many high street stores and can already be purchased online at Rymans, Tesco and Morrisons.

Clinique – Run or Dye 5k

On a day full of colour and fun, 4,000 participants raised over £20,000 through the Clinique Run or Dye 5. Thanks to Clinique for all their support.

Welcome to TAS Restaurants

We are excited to welcome the London-based Turkish chain TAS Restaurants who are aiming to raise a minimum of £25,000 this year for the charity. They will be donating 25p plus VAT from every bottle of still and sparkling water sold at each restaurant to the charity alongside employees fundraising in store. We look forward to working with them!

World record winners: fastest field to loaf

A big well done to the team from ADM Milling who broke the World Record for the fastest field to loaf, by over three minutes (pending verification from Guinness Book of Records).

Goodbye to Wilko

We say goodbye to Wilko after three years of supporting Great Ormond Street Hospital. Wilko has been terrific partners, raising over £110k for the charity to help patients and families. They are a creative team and have held fancy dress days, bake sales and who could forget Wilko in Luton’s ‘mile of pennies’ fundraiser? Thank you to Wilko; we truly appreciate all your generosity and support.

Kuehne + Nagel - 267 miles in three days 
Kuehne and Nagel fundraising day

Kuehne + Nagel completed a 3-day cycle challenge, covering 267 miles - raising £3308. The epic challenge culminated in a family fun day held at the finish line.

Suppliers Golf for GOSH

Whitbread held the annual golf day and gala dinner for their suppliers - who helped raise over £70,000 from ticket sales, a raffle and auction, featuring over 35 donated prizes.

BTIG, who raised a staggering £60,000 by donating their commission on their Charity Day 2016 (May 10th). On the day they even had a helping hand on the phones from Sky Sports News presenter and GOSH ambassador, Olivia Wayne. We also want to extend our thanks to Carlson Capital LLP and DSAM Partners LLP, BTIG’s clients who nominated GOSH when trading on the day.
