Make your own history by taking on the 53-mile route, finishing at the awe-inspiring Winchester Cathedral. Walk, jog or run the route either non-stop or over the full weekend with camping.

Join Team GOSH and take on this award-winning endurance event along the iconic South Downs Way to raise vital funds for Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH). 

About the Challenge

This award-winning historical trail is back in 2021 and ready to challenge runners, joggers and walkers alike. From picturesque Arundel, the 53- mile route winds along the spectacular South Downs Way, ending on the steps of Winchester Cathedral - one of the most historically significant buildings in Britain and claimed burial ground of twelve English kings, making it England’s first ever Royal Mausoleum.

Non-stop vs. Weekender Options

Choose from taking on the event non-stop or over the full weekend at whatever pace you would like, all while raising vital funds for GOSH.

To take part in the event non-stop (53 mile double marathon, without camping):

  • Fundraising commitment: £425 (excluding Gift Aid) 
  • Registration fee: £39 per person

To take part in the event over the full weekend, including an overnight stop (camping between day 1 and day 2):

  • Fundraising commitment: £425 (excluding Gift Aid)
  • Registration fee: £59 per person
