On Wednesday 26 November 2014, 18 Disney volunteers visited Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) to give patients an early Christmas present. Their special delivery of 800 Mickey Mouse toys, donated by the Disney Store, brought smiles to children across the hospital.

This is the seventh consecutive year that Disney Store has supported Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity at Christmas. The donation is part of the Disney Store’s Share the Magic campaign, which sees thousands of Disney soft toys donated to children’s charities across the UK.

Mickey Mouse proves a hit

Finlay Gordon, aged six, from Rochford in Essex, was brought to GOSH following an E-coli infection and was one of the patients to receive a Mickey Mouse toy.

Mum Sally said “Our local hospital didn’t have the facilities to help with his kidney failure but the amazing doctors and nurses at GOSH do.” Finley was very pleased with his new Mickey toy, keeping him firmly by his side. Sally said “I am sure with Mickey by his side he’ll battle through”.
