Mickey Mouse and Goofy waved off Disney cast members on their climb up Snowdon.
A touch of Disney magic was brought to the mountains of Snowdonia on Saturday 30 May.  Mickey Mouse and Goofy waved off twenty four Disney cast members as they began their climb up the summit of Mount Snowdon (3300ft) to raise vital funds for the £10 million Disney and Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity appeal.

The Disney cast members raised in excess of £14,500 which was phenomenal and enjoyed a weekend of celebrations in the YHA in Capel Curig to commemorate their fundraising success.

We began our climb from sea level to the summit of Snowdon – the most challenging route but it was well worth it!  Breathtaking views, different terrains and hardly any other people around made us feel that we were well and truly climbing a mountain. The team spirit was fantastic and I can honestly say that I smiled and laughed beginning to end!  It was one of the most worthwhile experiences of my life and I would encourage anyone to undergo a challenge, big or small, for not only the personal achievement but for an amazing cause.  I’m so pleased for the chance to be a part of the Disney Snowdon Challenge!
