GOSH Charity partners with St Pancras for spectacular rotating Christmas tree

St Pancras X GOSH Charity Christmas tree 2025. It has an ornamental clockwork winder at the bottom, then baubles and lights decorate the tree itself, which is gold and white and shaped like a cone. An illuminated ballerina sits on the top.

We were delighted to begin the festive season on a magical note this week, with the unveiling of St Pancras International's 2025 Christmas tree, created in partnership with Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity (GOSH Charity).

A magical Christmas in motion

The gently rotating, 12-metre-high tree brings to life the dreams of children at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH). Dreams that include becoming an Olympic gymnast, travelling into outer space and training to be a pilot.

Inspired by a vintage music box, the tree is topped with an illuminated ballerina – modelled on a real dancer from the GOSH Charity-funded GOSH Arts programme, who visits children and their families on the wards at the hospital.

For those children and families at GOSH who can’t visit the full-sized tree at St Pancras International, a scaled-down replica will be installed within the hospital.

Themed 'Powered by Dreams', the tree involved 30 craftspeople and took over 1,800 hours to complete.

For Wendy Spinks, Chief Commercial Officer at St. Pancras Highspeed, the St Pancras X GOSH Charity partnership "brings an extra layer of meaning and magic" to its annual Christmas tree. "We are so pleased that children at GOSH were able to play such a big part in this year’s tree," she says.

Every moment matters for seriously ill children

When you’re young, Christmastime should be about getting ready for a visit from Santa, not for lifesaving surgery.

Some children have to do both.

No child should have to spend the festive period in hospital. But when they have to, we do everything we can to make it feel like home. Because every moment matters for seriously ill children.
