Bill Bryson launches free audio download for the Love Hearts appeal

Best selling author Bill Bryson and have launched a free audio download to help raise vital funds for the Love Hearts appeal in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity.

The previously unpublished 13 minute anecdote tells of Bryson's "unfortunate genius for painful outcomes" and of a truly heroic person he knows. It will be free to download from today, with donating 50p to the Love Hearts appeal for every download.

Bill is a patron of the Love Hearts appeal, which was founded by former Great Ormond Street Hospital patient and heart transplant recipient Catherine MacLachlan and her family in 2011. The appeal has already helped to fund the new cardiac intensive care unit, and now raises funds for cardiac research and drives awareness to encourage more people to join the organ donor register.
