Craig David performs at 'At Home With GOSH'

Craig David was one of the performers at our first ever virtual event, 'At Home With GOSH', on Thursday 7 May.

Although we’re ‘walking away’ from a ‘magic’ evening, we're giving a huge thank you to Craig David for letting us ‘rewind’ and share his incredible performance with you:

The ‘rendez-vous’ was a fantastic event that raised money to help fund both Great Ormond Street Hospital’s (GOSH) most urgent, immediate needs and to support its vital work once the current crisis is over.

If you enjoyed Craig's performance and would like to support the hospital further, you can donate to our COVID-19 Emergency Appeal now.

As Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) plays a role in the national response by treating more children from hospitals across London, resources will become increasingly stretched. The hospital needs the support of the charity now more than ever, so it can continue to deliver the best, life-changing care for seriously ill children.

Immediate support from the charity focuses on responding to equipment needs, supporting staff health and wellbeing, and helping GOSH meet demands on its patient and family support service.

Specifically, the money raised from the appeal will:

  • ensure the hospital has vital medical equipment such as testing equipment, incubators and lung function kit as quickly as possible.
  • support staff wellbeing, including increasing the provision of food and hot drinks and making essential items available at the hospital.
  • ensure that the Play Team can continue their work with children and help children build their resilience during this crisis, including producing activity packs to use during isolation.
  • provide other vital services, such as the childcare service to staff so they can continue to come to work and treat patients, and other support services such as accommodation for parents, funding for Citizens Advice Bureau, the chaplaincy service, and family assistance vouchers.
  • look to fund research into the current management of the COVID-19 pandemic or other new ideas and innovations.

Your donations will make an enormous difference and allow us to continue providing vital support to staff, patients and their families in this challenging time and beyond. The hospital needs the support of the charity now more than ever, so it can continue to deliver the best, life-changing care for seriously ill children.
