We’re so excited to be one of three charities chosen by The Sun on Sunday newspaper to benefit from its ‘Quids for Kids’ Christmas fundraising appeal this year.

About ‘Quids for Kids’

The 'Quids for Kids' appeal invites readers of The Sun on Sunday to donate to support seriously ill children and young people around the country, like superstar patient, Lily (pictured with her family, above), who will feature in the appeal this December.

The other two charities supported by the appeal this year are Great North Children’s Hospital Foundation, and University Hospital Birmingham Charity.

How to get involved

Each of the three charity partners will benefit from bucket collections held in three major shopping centres (Lakeside for GOSH Charity, The Bullring for University Hospital Birmingham Charity, and Eldon Square for Great North Children’s Hospital Charity) on selected dates in the lead-up to Christmas.

To support the appeal, you can donate online through a JustGiving page or text the amount you wish to donate:

  • To donate £1, text KIDSQUIDS to 70201
  • To donate £3, text KIDSQUIDS to 70331
  • To donate £5, text KIDSQUIDS to 70970
  • To donate £10, text KIDSQUIDS to 70191
Money donated in these three ways will be split equally between all three beneficiary charities.

Donate locally across the country

GOSH Charity’s longstanding corporate partner Premier Inn is also getting involved by welcoming The Sun on Sunday’s readers to donate their spare change to GOSH Charity via collection tins at Premier Inn sites across the country.

McColl’s, the leading neighbourhood retailer and GOSH Charity’s newest national partner, will also have collections for GOSH Charity in its stores, nation-wide.

“Money raised for GOSH Charity makes such a difference”

Donations to the ‘Quids for Kids’ appeal for GOSH Charity will help fund GOSH’s most urgent needs. These include pioneering medical research, state of the art equipment, support services for children and families, and the rebuilding and refurbishment of the hospital.

“We’re really grateful to The Sun on Sunday for choosing GOSH Charity to support through the ‘Quids for Kids’ appeal this Christmas,” says Louise Parkes, CEO of GOSH Charity. “It’s a brilliant opportunity for us to tell readers across the country about the children GOSH cares for and how money raised for GOSH Charity makes such a difference.

"Christmas is a special time for many families to be together and particularly for those whose loved ones are in hospital. To know that the Sun on Sunday’s readers are offering their support at this difficult time will mean a lot to families and patients in hospital this Christmas.”
