RBC Race for the Kids is back – get ready for this autumn’s fun run!
26 Aug 2025, 11:51 a.m.
Save the date! Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity's (GOSH Charity) annual family festival and 2k or 5k fun run RBC Race for the Kids is back in London’s Hyde Park on Saturday 11 October 2025.
Here are a few things to know ahead of the big day.
On your marks...
First things first – ensure you’re registered to attend! RBC Race for the Kids is a fun and accessible event for all ages and abilities, so your whole gang can get involved. Participants are encouraged to join the race their way, whether you walk, jog, wheel or scoot, and four-legged friends are welcome. What’s more, kids go free!
Sign up on our RBC Race for the Kids registration platform and receive your race pack in the post, including a special t-shirt so you can get around the course in style.

Get set...
Autumn is a magical time to explore London’s Hyde Park, with the leaves changing colour and (hopefully) mild weather before winter sets in. Make it a magical day for you and your family by coming prepared.
Unless the forecast shows extreme weather conditions, the event will take place rain or shine, so dress appropriately! Pop a layer under your race day t-shirt if you think you’ll be cold, grab a hat if it looks like the sun will make an appearance, and bring along a reusable water bottle to fill up on the day. Don’t forget you can also bring pushchairs, wheelchairs and scooters. Find out more, including answers to our FAQs, on our RBC Race for the Kids platform.
Go! Join the race to help beat childhood cancer
Money raised from RBC Race for the Kids 2025 will go towards a new, world-leading Children’s Cancer Centre at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH). Alongside GOSH Charity’s investment in paediatric cancer research, the centre will mean better facilities, kinder treatments and bigger breakthroughs. So whether you’re sprinting like a superhero, whizzing on wheels, or simply enjoying a family stroll, every step will help beat childhood cancer.
When you register, a Funraisin page will be set up for you automatically, and you’re encouraged to raise as much as you can for this important cause while enjoying the fresh air and having fun. Find a few fundraising tips on our RBC Race for the Kids platform.
Meet Gaspard
Gaspard was three and half years old when he was diagnosed with a type of soft tissue cancer. He was transferred to Lion Ward at GOSH, where he spent two months as an inpatient. His sisters, Apolline and Josephine, would visit him often.

In the years that followed, Gaspard continued to have treatment – both at GOSH and in the U.S.
Now 10 years old, Gaspard has been cancer free for almost five years. He’s doing well and loves playing sport, especially tennis and football.
For the past two years, he and his family and friends have taken part in RBC Race for the Kids to give back to GOSH Charity.

“We will continue to do RBC Race for the Kids because we love it. It’s amazing,” his mum Caroline, says.
“For me it's very important to raise the awareness and to raise funds for GOSH Charity.”
Festival fun
The event isn’t all about the race. Once you’ve made your way around the scenic route (and collected your medal at the finish line!) make your way to the festival village. Here you’ll find everything from live entertainment to arts and crafts, a bubbleologist to bungee trampolines and much, much more. There will also be food and drink stalls on site to keep you fed and hydrated among all the action.
