The GOSH Play team says:

"Starting on a friendship journey feels like a big step, but sharing stories and creating puppets together is a great way to explore language and feeling. Discover how words can have a positive impact."

Making friends and understanding how other people may feel differently to you are important parts of growing up.

The Go-Away Bird

Inspired by The Go-Away Bird created by Julia Donaldson and Catherine Rayner, the GOSH Play team has created an easy activity to do at home with your little ones.

It will help children learn about the importance of friendship, how to talk about feelings and how to listen to how other people feel.

Download the activity sheet to get started. If you don’t have a copy of the book you could see if your local library has one in stock. If they don’t, you can ask them to order one in for you. The activity sheet can be lots of fun without the book, too.
