This event raised an incredible £410,000.

On Saturday 2 November 2013, for the third year running, we were delighted to host the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals Gala, raising £410,000 for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity.

What the event involved

Matt Cardle

The event took place at the stunning and iconic setting of the Natural History Museum, which welcomed 450 guests to celebrate the launch of Barclays ATP World Tour Finals, the spectacular season-ending tournament at the O2.

Alongside some of the world’s best tennis players, guests enjoyed a Moët & Chandon champagne and canapé reception before being seated for a delicious three-course meal.

The night was filled with entertainment, including a special welcome ceremony for the top ATP World Tour players, an exclusive Q&A session with the players and a touching speech from guest speaker and Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) parent, Karen Murphy, who shared the inspiring story of her son Tom.

The night was rounded off with live music performances from The AllStars Collective and X-Factor winner, Matt Cardle. Hosts John Inverdale and Olivia Wayne took the guests through the fabulous evening.

Where your money went

The event raised an incredible £410,000 with all the money going towards funding a new four-bed high dependency unit in the respiratory ward at GOSH. The ward, which is due to be completed in 2017, will provide clinicians with modern, state-of-the-art facilities that will ensure we can continue to provide exceptional care to patients diagnosed with complex respiratory disorders.

Thank you

We would like to thank all those who helped put on such an exciting event, including the players who joined us on the night, our lead sponsor Moët & Chandon for their continuous commitment to the event and to all our prize donors and volunteers who helped make the evening possible.
