GOSH patients and families need your support now more than ever.
Children still need to come to GOSH for treatment every single day.
But their parents are bringing them to the hospital under extraordinary circumstances.
Infection control restrictions only allow one carer per family to be in the hospital.
That one carer must be strong for a worried child who is being treated by people in masks and protective clothing.
And they also have to plan their travel and accommodation under the same lockdown rules as the rest of us.
What is already a stressful time is even more challenging. But you can help to make the experience easier.
“The pressure on parents in hospital is even greater at this time. Parents need the play team to give us an opportunity to take a breath of fresh air, engage positively with our children and be part of the GOSH family. We need them now more than ever as we are doing this more on our own than ever before.”
By supporting our charity today, you will help GOSH deliver the practical and emotional support that parents and families need.
Please donate to our appeal today.
Your donation today could help towards:
- Family accommodation so mums and dads can stay close by while their children undergo treatment
- Vital services including the hospital Play team which helps patients understand their treatment and cope with separation from peers and siblings
- Social work and multi-faith chaplaincy teams who provide family advice and support now and in the months ahead
