Support GOSH Charity with cryptocurrency
Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity (GOSH Charity) is now accepting cryptocurrency donations in order to ensure we can raise as much as possible to support seriously ill children at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH).
We're running a trial to assess the impact this can have and whether it enables us to have even greater impact.
To make this possible, we’ve partnered with Zodia Custody (a crypto custody provider) and Zodia Markets (a crypto exchange platform) to enable supporters to donate using cryptocurrencies.
They've brought their expertise and experience to ensure the process is as smooth as possible for supporters whilst ensuring we follow all necessary due diligence and compliance procedures.
All you need to do is enter your information into the form below, and one of the team will respond with the necessary steps to facilitate your donation using crypto.
During this initial trial period, we’re accepting donations using cryptocurrency that are at least £10,000 in value. This is something we are reviewing throughout the trial and may be changed in due course.

FAQs: Donate using cryptocurrency
What's digital asset?
A digital asset is a digital or a virtual store of value, like a currency, which is secured by cryptography.
Digital transactions are recorded on a public blockchain, providing tamper-proof records of transactions. This means that digital assets are a very transparent form of funding - enabling the charity to assess donor provenance. And if disbursements are made in digital assets, then the donor can track how funds are spent.
Why is GOSH Charity accepting digital donations?
Accepting digital donations means GOSH can diversify its funding base, making us less reliant on traditional means of fundraising and future proofing, which is especially relevant when factoring in generational wealth.
Can I donate cryptocurrency to GOSH Charity?
Yes. We gratefully accept cryptocurrency donations as part of our commitment to offering flexible ways to support our life-saving work for seriously ill children.
Which cryptocurrencies do you accept?
We accept a variety of major cryptocurrencies. These include:

Are there any benefits to the donor to make a digital donation?
HMRC has issued guidance on crypto assets. Please note that these are subject to change.
Are crypto donations eligible for Gift Aid?
At this time, we're unable to process Gift Aid on cryptocurrency donations due to HMRC regulations. However, your donation still makes a huge impact.

Who processes your cryptocurrency donations?
Crypto donations to GOSH Charity are securely processed using Zodia Custody, a regulated institutional digital asset custodian backed by Standard Chartered. Zodia provides best-in-class security, operational transparency, and compliance.
Is there any impact on the environment from using cryptocurrency?

This will be factored into our review of this trial for GOSH Charity to accept donations via cryptocurrency.
