Together for Childhood Award Winners

Our Together for Childhood Awards are an opportunity to recognise and celebrate members of the Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity (GOSH Charity) community for their efforts over the past year.

From fun-raisers who raise vital funds for the charity, to partners who share their skills and expertise, Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) families who share their stories, GOSH staff and everyone who champions the work of the charity, these awards celebrate all those who work together for childhood with us.

With this amazing community in mind, a huge thank you to all our incredible nominees and winners for being part of our Together for Childhood Awards. The nominations were shortlisted by a diverse panel of judges, made up of charity volunteers and committee members.

GOSH Charity Trustee Dr Fiona Ross then had the privilege (and very tough job!) of selecting our ultimate Together for Childhood Award winners.

Meet our 2025/26 winners

The courage award: Noah

Noah was just two when he began treatment at GOSH for acute lymphoblastic leukaemia.

Alongside chemotherapy, he faced a life-threatening infection and stroke, and his family were told he might never walk or talk again.

With specialist care and intensive physiotherapy, Noah slowly began to reclaim his childhood.

By sharing their story so openly across events, campaigns and national media, Noah and his family have helped bring thousands of people together to support the new Children’s Cancer Centre at GOSH.

Even after Noah had a relapse in 2025, their determination to help other families has never wavered.

The care award: Mark Stokes

For 14 years, Mark has brought people together to give back to the hospital that helped save his son Matteo’s sight.

His annual golf day has grown into a much-loved event, raising more than £140,000 for GOSH Charity to date.

Year after year, Mark goes above and beyond – galvanising friends, family and local supporters to help make the hospital extraordinary for more children and families.

The curiosity award: Zoe Bottrell and Culture Creative

Zoe and the team at Culture Creative have reimagined what fundraising for GOSH Charity can look like.

From immersive trails to spectacular light installations, they’ve blended creativity with impact to create magical Neverland experiences – opening the door to a long-term international partnership with Sony RGL.

The first Neverland Light Trail announced was "Neverland at Kenwood" which ran from November 2025 to January this year. It saw the grounds transformed into a world where magic and adventure captured imaginations through spectacular lighting, immersive storytelling and an atmospheric soundscape that brought J M Barrie's beloved world vividly to life.

Their bold thinking is helping Neverland travel the world, unlocking new income streams that will support seriously ill children for years to come.

The partnerships award: Hoddesdon Allstars Committee

Since 2017, the Hoddesdon Allstars Committee has turned the power of community into lasting impact for GOSH Charity.

Through Rock Around the Clocktower, their annual music festival, and a growing programme of local events, this volunteer-led group has raised more than £122,000 to support life-changing projects across the hospital.

Driven by personal connections, creativity and collective effort, they continue to inspire everyone around them to be part of it year after year.

The impact award: Giles Pascoe

As Chair of the Children’s Cancer Centre Campaign Board, Giles has played a pivotal role in advancing support for seriously ill children.

Over the past year, he has helped raise more than £5 million through his networks, as well as giving his time, leadership and personal commitment to the Build it. Beat it. Appeal. An appeal raising money to build a new world class Children's Cancer Centre at GOSH.

Leading with integrity, humility and boundless energy, Giles is a powerful ambassador for GOSH Charity, bringing people together behind a shared purpose.

His impact will be felt for years to come, not only in the funds he has helped secure, but in the culture of collaboration and philanthropy he has fostered to help give more children the best chance, and the best childhood, possible.

The growth award: Chloe Johnson

Chloe has been a driving force behind the continued growth of GOSH Charity’s partnership with Costco Wholesale UK.

Through creativity, determination and standout project management, she has helped expand fundraising across the business, from in-store innovations to nationwide brand visibility reaching millions.

This year’s record-breaking results, raising £200,000 more than the year before, reflect Chloe’s passion for finding new ways to grow income and support the new Children’s Cancer Centre.

The young people’s award (under 18): Skye

Skye was 10 when she was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia and began treatment at GOSH. Since ringing her end of treatment bell in 2024, she’s thrown her energy into supporting GOSH Charity – sharing her story, featuring in national media and raising £2,000 through her own fundraising event.

Now 13 and thriving, Skye says she wants to work at GOSH when she grows up, so she can help others in the same way the doctors and nurses helped her. Skye is a powerful reminder of what’s possible when courage, kindness and determination come together.

JM Barrie award: Phil Parry

After almost losing his son to cancer, Phil has spent more than a decade turning gratitude into action for GOSH Charity.

Since 2011, he has raised almost £4 million through tireless fundraising, including founding the OSCAR Dragon Boat Race, which just celebrated its 10th year.

With no plans to slow down, Phil is preparing to take on the London Marathon in April, continuing his mission to help make a difference. His generosity, determination and commitment will support seriously ill children and families for generations to come.
